FanVerse: A Fan Convention Design Portfolio

FanVerse is a fan convention design portfolio original concept I created to showcase my skills in branding, layout design, storytelling, and event-based visual strategy. Built around a fictional sci-fi/fantasy fan convention, this project combines my passions—pop culture, graphic design, and immersive world-building—into one cohesive creative experience.

The project includes branding, promotional posters, a responsive multi-page website, venue and zone maps, and an 18-page professionally designed program guide. I designed every element to simulate a real-world convention, covering everything from panel schedules to guest bios and floor plans.

This work highlights both my technical ability and strategic thinking. I built a complete design ecosystem that reflects the energy, creativity, and organization of a true fan experience.

FanVerse: A Universe Built by Fans

When fandom meets creative vision, magic happens. I developed FanVerse as a fictional fan convention that brings together branding, storytelling, and event design. From logo to program guide, I created each piece with the heart of a fan and the eye of a creative professional.

Branding the FanVerse

To make this imagined event feel real, the branding needed to speak directly to its audience—fans. The logo, event banner, and website header work together to visually anchor the identity using cosmic gradients, playful typography, and iconography that celebrates fandom in all forms.

🖨️ Print Posters: Designed for Impact

I created each print poster to inform, engage, and immerse attendees in the FanVerse world. These high-impact visuals reinforce brand identity while staying readable and visually engaging.

Whether displayed in high-traffic areas or featured on venue signage, each poster grabs attention and sparks excitement.

🪐 Digital Posters: Social Media Series

Spreading the Word Across the Universe

To promote the event online, I created a series of square-format posters optimized for social platforms like Instagram, Threads, and TikTok. Each one captures the essence of the convention’s five themed zones and keeps visual branding consistent across the campaign.

Design Highlights:

  • 1080x1080px format for cross-platform display
  • Vibrant galaxy backgrounds with neon-inspired hues
  • Bold, rounded type for readability
  • Each poster includes a header, custom icon, tagline, QR code, and event details
  • Layout designed for accessibility and engagement

Website Design

A Portal for Fans to Connect and Explore

The FanVerse website does more than provide event information—it extends the experience. I designed it with a galaxy-inspired aesthetic and intuitive navigation to invite fans to “Escape Reality. Enter Fandom.”

Bold headlines, vibrant visuals, and clear calls-to-action guide visitors through ticketing, event highlights, and programming. Each page matches a themed zone of the convention, keeping the story and visuals aligned.

From buying tickets to planning cosplay, fans can easily engage with every part of the experience.

📘 FanVerse Program Booklet

Format: Slideshow Portfolio Project
Role: Design, Layout, Branding, Copywriting

I created this 18-page booklet as a companion to the fictional three-day event. It mirrors the structure and design of real convention handouts—complete with immersive visuals, themed zones, full schedules, and guest spotlights.

My goal was to channel fan culture energy while showcasing my layout and writing skills. I designed every page with bold colours, cosmic textures, and strong typographic hierarchy to reflect the FanVerse identity.

This project unites creative design with clear communication—blending story and structure into one fan-powered guide.
