Design, Storytelling, and Community Engagement
Some creative quests come packed with heart—and this one came with a whole council. Through my work with the Community Arts Council of Richmond (CACR), I wore many hats: elected board member, visual designer, communications support, project manager, and audio editor. Each project gave me a chance to blend creativity with community purpose, from fundraising collaborations to storytelling initiatives that highlighted real voices.
These pieces reflect more than design skills—they represent connection, empathy, and local impact.
Faces of Richmond – Event Poster

This poster was designed for CACR’s “Faces of Richmond,” a community storytelling initiative that honoured local seniors through interviews and portraiture. I led the project from planning to production, including:
• Interviewing participants
• Designing promotional materials
• Editing the final audio stories
• Updating the web gallery for exhibition
CACR Project Highlights
These projects reflect the range of my creative contributions for CACR. Whether I was designing print materials or managing a cross-partner campaign, I focused on clarity, emotional resonance, and community engagement.

💬 Final Thought
Working with CACR was more than just design work—it was a chance to give creative shape to meaningful local stories. Whether I was laying out a flyer or uploading someone’s recorded memories to the website, I always came back to the same goal: make it clear, make it kind, and make it count.
Community projects don’t just need design—they deserve heart behind the visuals.
